The applicant must hold a current and valid license top practice dentistry in the province in which he or she is to be engaged by DND/CF. must have recently demonstrated through practice the ability to provide comprehensive dentistry including restorative treatment, oral surgery, periodontics, orthodontics, and prosthodontics (unless to be engaged for a specialty service)-5 years experience in the field very good English on conversation level required. STEPS TO FILE AS A DENTIST IN THE UK
In order to practice in the UK dentists must register with the regulatory authority, the General Dental Council (GDC); www.gdc-uk.org and ensure that they have the right to work in the UK.
Dentists from EEA countries with a recognized qualification from a dental school in the EEA are entitled to registration under the terms of the European Community Sectoral Agreement on Dentistry and are not required to take the GDC International Qualifying Examination.
When you have registered with the GDC (General Dental Council), you will need to become a member of a defense union. (A defense union will provide you with indemnity insurance).

Once you have GDC registration and a certificate of insurance from a defense union, you can then look for a job.

Once you know where you will be working, you can apply to register with the Primary Care Trust, which covers the geographical area where you will work.
The PCT will need to see your GDC registration (called a practicing certificate), and your defense union membership. You will be required to sign a declaration form, which asks about previous criminal offenses and disciplinary procedures. You will also need to provide references and a CRB check will be carried out. Candidates from within the EEA need to have been assessed for language proficiency and have reached the standard of one of the recognized language tests.

If you graduated outside of the EU you may need to take the International Qualifying Examination.

In order to be eligible to sit this exam you will need to present evidence of your undergraduate degree and have passed IELTS level with 7,5 or Bath 2,5.

Non EU dentists wishing to work in the UK must also comply with the regulations regarding work permits:

Overseas dentists must clarify their status and eligibility for a work permit. Further information on immigration and work permits may be obtained from the nearest British embassy or from the Home Office Immigration and Nationality Directorate (IND). The IND administers the granting of work permits through Work Permits (UK).
